Robert L. Hensal, 61 of Philipsburg, passed away on Sept. 29, 2010 at Clearfield Hospital.
Born Oct. 17, 1948 he was the son of the late Robert and Mildred (Crain) Hensal.
He was a member of the Gearhartsville Free Methodist Church; a Veteran of the Vietnam War, having served 12 years in the Army Researve; a member of the AMVETS Post 159; and a lifetime member of the Hope Fire Company in Philipsburg.
He was employed in the maintanence department at Penn State University for 32 years before retiring.
On Sept. 28, 1968 he married the former Patricia A. Reese, who survives at home.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two grandsons, Noah and Nathan Johnston.
He is survived by daughters Michelle L. Ropchock of Chester Hill; Melissa S. Walker and her husband Dale of Osceola Mills and Cindy R. Johnston and her husband LeRoy of Philipsbur; brother Ronald Hensal and his wife Karen of Osceola Mills; grandchildren Tyler Johnston of Chester Hill, Jacob Hansel and his wife Jessica and Caleb Hansel, all of Daeque, South Korea, Joshua, Kayla and Brandon Walker, all of Osceola Mills and Nicholas Johnston of Philipsburg.
Services will be held on Oct. 2 at 12:30 p.m. at the Beezer-Heath Funeral Home, 719 E. Spruce St., Philipsburg. Burial will be at the Philipsburg Cemetery. There will be no viewing, however, friends will be received by the family on Oct. 2 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
Military graveside services will be accorded by the Moshannon Valley Independent Honor Guard.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
