Patricia A. ‘Patty’ Best, 70 of Clearfield, and formerly of Curwensville, died on Sept. 27, 2010 at Clearfield Hospital.
She was born on March 26, 1940 in Curwensville, a daughter of the late Charles S. and Esther L. (Walker) Hyson.
Ms. Best was a homemaker.
She attended the Curwensville Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by three daughters:
Cynthia Marie Crownover FL
Amy Jo Harris and husband James Kellytown
Tamala Jean Ingram and husband Ronald DuBois
Five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren,
And two sisters:
Norma Bensor and husband William Clearfield
Dixie Chambers and husband Bernard Hyde
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Kenneth Charles Rowles.
A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family with Gary Jewart officiating. Interment will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Curwensville.
At the request of Ms. Best, there will be no public visitation.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to American Cancer Society, 26 S. Second Street, Clearfield or to the American Lung Association, 3001 Old Gettysburg Road, Camp Hill, PA 17011.
