CLEARFIELD – A Clearfield man will be spending time in state prison for possessing multiple drugs.
Devin Earl Luzier, 24, pleaded guilty during sentencing court Monday to felony manufacture/delivery/possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance. Judge Paul E. Cherry gave him a term of one to three years in state prison.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, police searched Luzier’s residence on Sept. 22 after he failed a drug urine test by probation. They found scales, drug residue, blue tablets, a plastic bag containing seeds, a jar of vegetable matter and a bag with a white crystal substance.
The tablets were discovered to be Oxycodone hydrochloride, the vegetable matter tested positive for THC and the crystal substance was found to be 50 grams of methamphetamine.
At first Luzier claimed the items belonged to another individual, but later stated, “I’ll make it easier for you, that was all mine.”
After Luzier agreed to a search of his phone, police found multiple images of suspected drugs and messages referencing drug sales.
His Cash App transactions had names of known drug users and regular payments in small amounts ranging up to $60, which is consistent with sales of small amount of drugs, it says in the criminal complaint.
Luzier was also given a concurrent state prison sentence of nine months to two years for a probation revocation.
