CLEARFIELD – The Joseph & Elizabeth Shaw Public Library recently held a PA One Book program. It was held in conjunction with its celebration of National Library Week.
The celebration included readings of two books: “Barnyard Banter” by Denise Fleming and “Not a Box” by Antoinette Portis.
These books were chosen by the commonwealth of Pennsylvania to highlight the importance of early literacy for young learners.
As part of the program, kids were able to enjoy a cardboard barn and racecar, which were created by Tom Shifter.
The cardboard was donated by Lowe’s and Cen-Clear donated the funds to purchase 60 books to send home with the children.
