HOUTZDALE – The fourth- through sixth-grade students of Moshannon Valley Elementary celebrated Youth Art Month, which takes place during the month of March, on March 29.
The event included 12 different stations that focused on art-related careers. The stations included animation, anime character, architecture, choreography, claymation, comic book, comic book art, graphic design, music, photography and pixel art.
Students chose five stations of interest to visit. There were various activities that students were able to create throughout their experience.
Students even had the opportunity to sit inside a life-sized camera obscure (pinhole camera) as part of the photography station.
Students were thrilled and took their creations home with them. Coding was also used in the animation station to help get their character to complete a motion sequence.
“The students were very enthusiastic throughout the entire experience,” shares Bethany Brown, elementary art teacher.
