DUBOIS – The AJ and Sigismunda Palumbo Charitable Trust has awarded a foundation grant to DuBois Central Catholic.  The grant was in the amount of $150,000 for the second phase of DCC’s “Classrooms of the Future Initiative.”

The grant funds will provide flexible, moveable classroom furniture for all levels of education, creating classroom environments conducive to project-based instruction thereby educating learners for the jobs of the future.

Taking part in the check presentation were Karin Pfingstler, Palumbo, trustee; Angela Edwards, DCC software applications; Joseph Palumbo, Palumbo trustee; Sharon Varischetti, grant writer;  Msgr. Charles Kaza, president of DCC; Tara Kramer, director of technology curriculum; and John Kovach, Palumbo Foundation director and trustee.
