State police at Clearfield
- On Friday state police attempted a traffic stop on a dark blue Dodge Durango for speeding violations. Its driver, however, failed to stop despite activated emergency lights and sirens; they continued traveling on Route 53 in Cooper Township. State police say the vehicle became stuck in a driveway near Fye Road (Centre County) due to it being uphill and snow-covered. State police found the driver was allegedly under the influence of alcohol.
- State police received a report about an incident of theft that occurred Friday on Lemon Street in Gulich Township. During the incident, a male suspect allegedly stole three firearms from the victim. Charges were filed through the district court.
- State police reported on a DUI incident that occurred Saturday on Route 53 near Cemetery Road in Morris Township. According to state police, a traffic stop was conducted on a Chevrolet passenger car. A 29-year-old Grassflat man was allegedly operating the vehicle while under the influence.
State police at DuBois
- State police reported on a DUI incident that occurred Sunday on DuBois Street in DuBois City. A 53-year-old Reynoldsville man was stopped for a summary traffic violation. While speaking with him, state police allegedly detected an odor of burnt marijuana. The man was subsequently arrested for DUI and related charges, which are pending blood test results.
State police at Philipsburg
- State police received a report about home improvement fraud that occurred between Aug. 5 and Nov. 16 of 2017 at a Stable View Drive residence in Halfmoon Township. According to state police, the victim and a 27-year-old State College man entered into a contract and money was provided for the completion of a project. However, the man has allegedly failed to complete the project to date. State police are continuing their investigation at this time.
State police at Punxsutawney
- State police received a report about a theft that occurred between Nov. 21, 2017 and Jan. 9 on Guzzo Road in Young Township. During the incident, the suspect allegedly stole $1,012 worth of items that belonged to the victim. State police are continuing their investigation at this time.
- State police received a report about a burglary that occurred between Jan. 14 and Jan. 16 on Knox Dale Road in Knox Township. During the incident, someone allegedly forcefully entered the victims’ residence. State police are continuing their investigation at this time. State police at Ridgway
- State police received a report about a retail theft that occurred Friday at Wal-Mart. During the incident, a female allegedly entered the store and removed multiple items, which totaled $60.11.
- State police reported on a drug incident that occurred Saturday on Route 255 at Leonard’s Garage in Weedville. According to state police, a 21-year-old Weedville man was traveling when his vehicle was stopped for an equipment violation. Upon further investigation, state police allegedly found drug paraphernalia on his person and he was also under the influence of drugs. Charges were filed through the district court.
Clearfield Borough
- Police assisted a motorist who locked their keys inside their vehicle on East Cherry Street.
- Police responded to a 911 hang-up call on Reed Street. However, police were unable to locate the origin of the call.
- Police served a mental health warrant on a male after he made threats about self-harm. He was transported to the hospital for an evaluation.
- Police responded for a report about a dog running lo0se on Leavy Avenue. However, police were unable to locate the dog.
- Police received a report about an intoxicated male on Elizabeth Street. Police located the male and released him to sober adults.
- Police are investigating an incident of theft of services. During the incident, a known person allegedly used a dumpster without permission.
- Police received a report about a minor accident along North Third Street. According to police, the individuals exchanged proper information prior to their arrival.
- Police assisted a tractor-trailer driver who was attempting to turn around along East Locust Street.
- Police stopped a vehicle along Bridge Street and determined the driver had an active warrant. The warrant was able to be satisfied at the scene.
- Police responded to a vehicle fire on Martin Street. According to police, individuals had extinguished the fire prior to firefighters’ arrival at the scene.
- Police assisted Curwensville EMS with an escort to the Penn Highlands Hospital.
- Police received a report about an altercation on East Market Street. Police were able to handle the situation at the scene.
- Police received a report about a suspicious male who was attempting to enter vehicles in the area of North Fourth and East Market streets. However, police were unable to locate anyone.
- Police assisted in locating a lost dog in the area of Nichols Street.
- Lawrence Township police were assisted with a domestic incident along Park Avenue Extension.
- Police responded to a business for an activated alarm on North Second Street. Upon arrival, police found the building was secured.
- Police located two males walking along North Third Street, and they were allegedly under the influence of alcohol.
- Police received a report about juveniles who were loitering around a residence on Chase Street. Upon arrival, police found they’d left the area.
- Police are investigating the alleged theft of sunglasses.
- Police had a wallet turned in that was located along Nichols Street. The owner was located the wallet was returned to them.
Lawrence Township
- Police reported on a DUI incident that occurred Saturday in the area of Daisy Street Extension and Leonard Street in Lawrence Township. According to police, a witness called 911 saying a vehicle “was all over the roadway” and had struck a curb near Dairy Queen. Police located the vehicle on Leonard Street with a flat tire. When contact was made with the driver, police detected signs of impairment. The driver was allegedly found to have been consuming alcohol and under the influence of medication not prescribed to him. He was transported to the hospital for a blood draw and then released to a sober person. Police say that the lab results are currently pending at this time.
- Police received a report about the unlawful dissemination of intimate material Saturday in the Lawrence Township/Clearfield area. Upon investigation, police found a suspect had allegedly sent a video to a third-party on Facebook without the victim’s consent. Charges are to be filed in the incident.
- Police received a report about a domestic assault Sunday at the Lawrence Park Village in Lawrence Township. Upon arrival, police made contact with the victim who is pregnant. A male had allegedly pushed her to the ground and struck her in the head area. She was treated by emergency personnel and transported to the hospital for an evaluation. Police took the male into custody for assault, and he was found to be under the influence of alcohol. He was housed in county jail on a probation detainer, and he will be arraigned on assault charges in the future.
Decatur Township
- Police assisted a disabled motorist along Route 153.
- Police received a report about a domestic dispute along Fairview Road. Charges are currently pending at this time.
- Police received a traffic complaint that occurred on Walnut Street. According to police, a vehicle was blocking the roadway. The owner was asked to move the vehicle.
- Police located and removed a traffic hazard along the Drane Highway and Second Street.
