State police at DuBois
- State police received a report about an incident of access device fraud that occurred Oct. 29 in Grand Haven, Mich. During the incident, someone allegedly made a fraudulent purchase of $363.57 with the victim’s bank account. The bank obtained transaction information and the victim gained knowledge of the suspect. State police have contacted the Grand Haven, Mich., police, which will follow-up and assist with the investigation.
- State police received a report about an incident of criminal mischief that occurred sometime between Oct. 28 and Tuesday on Main Street in Falls Creek Borough. During the incident, someone allegedly attempted to gain entry into the post office by use of force with a tool. State police say it caused minor damages to the steel exterior door frame and receiving slot. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at DuBois at 814-371-4652.
State police at Philipsburg
- State police received a report about a possible Protection from Abuse order violation that occurred Oct. 9 on Seventh Street in Philipsburg Borough. Upon investigation, state police determined that a violation hadn’t occurred.
Lawrence Township
- Police received a report about a traffic violation on Route 879.
- Police assisted Clearfield-Jefferson Mental Health personnel at the county jail.
- Police received a report about trespassing in Country Club.
- Police received a report about a child custody issue.
- Clearfield Borough police were assisted with an incident.
Sandy Township
- Police received a report about a false alarm at Dubois Feeds on Monday.
- On Monday employees of Johnson Motors alleged that someone took a tire and rim from a Chevy Malibu that was displayed on their lot.
- On Monday a 51-year-old Mountain Run Road resident reported that someone was on her porch shining a flashlight in her window and then took off into a nearby wooded area. Police checked the area but didn’t find any sign of the individual.
- Police received a report about a false alarm at Red Lobster on Tuesday.
- On Tuesday a 51-year-old Treasure Lake man alleged that someone took a ground blind and two trail cameras from a wooded area. The items were attached by a cable to trees and secured with a lock, he told police. Police say that the suspect broke the lock and took the parts with them.
- Police reported that a vehicle driven by a 42-year-old Erie man attempted to pass two vehicles at an excessive speed Tuesday. This caused his vehicle to leave the roadway and a vehicle driven by a 24-year-old Reynoldsville man to as well, hit a mailbox and then come to rest head-on with a tree. Major damage and minor injuries were reported, and charges are currently pending at this time
- On Tuesday employees of Sally’s Beauty reported that an unknown male was in the store on several occasions making rude and profane comments to them, and he would not leave when asked to. Police are continuing their investigation at this time.
