CLEARFIELD – The annual Halloween parade, organized by the Kiwanis Club, will be held Oct. 24 at the Clearfield Driving Park.
The parade will step off at 7 p.m.; line-up will begin at 6:30 p.m. This year’s theme is “Music, Music, Music.”
Club members hope costumes will feature various musical performers, musical notes, etc. Cash prizes will be awarded for the best costumes.
There isn’t any cost to participate in the parade. Participants should meet at the end of Stadium Drive between the grandstand and Weaver Street by 6:30 p.m.
The Kiwanis Club, Key Club and Woman’s Club members will organize the line-up.
The parade will travel around the park’s Grove area by proceeding up Stadium Drive until taking a right onto Park Drive and then a left onto McBride Street.
From there, it will take a left onto Paddock Drive and another left onto Park Drive before turning right onto Stadium Drive. The parade will end where it first started at.
A pumpkin decorating contest will also be held during the event. Children who are 12 years and younger are invited to decorate pumpkins and enter them into competition at a table near the judge’s stand.
Cash prizes will be awarded in two age categories: 6 and younger and 7-12 years.
The Kiwanis Club would like to thank everyone who assisted with the parade plans, including Clearfield Borough Council, Clearfield Borough police, Clearfield Volunteer Fire Department, Clearfield Fire Police, Clearfield EMS, Clearfield Fair and Park Board, wOK!w, Clearfield Area Junior-Senior High School marching bands, Clearfield Woman’s Club, Clearfield Revitalization Corp., and 2017 parade sponsor, CBT Bank.
