Sana Jane Ashton 68, of Morrisdale died Sunday, June 29, 2014 at her residence.
Born Feb. 22, 1946 in Philipsburg, she was the daughter of William Clifford and Betty Jane (Prude) Smeal. Mrs. Ashton was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, William (Bill) Ashton; two daughters, Denise McGarry and her husband, Wade and Nicole Gater and her husband, Kenand; and two grandchildren, Brezlyn McGarry and William Gater.
Surviving are a brother, Ron Smeal and his wife, Arlene and a sister, Floss (Smeal) Preece and her companion, Mitch Hubler. There are many nieces and nephews also surviving.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. July 12 at the United Methodist Church in Morrisdale. To attend, please RSVP by July 6 at 814-577-5973.
Mrs. Ashton was a compassionate person who loved animals, so the family requests that donations be made to the Clearfield County SPCA, 275 21st St., Clearfield, PA 16830.
