- An attempted burglary occurred Friday on Stronach Road in Penn Township. Someone tried to gain access to the victim’s residence by prying the front bedroom window open. - An incident of burglary occurred Thursday at a hunting camp located off Turkey Road in Cooper Township. Someone entered the camp by gaining access through the front door, and once inside they stole miscellaneous household goods and tools, six plastic bins, a propane tank and an Echo chainsaw. - A hit-and-run accident occurred Saturday on New Liberty Road in Decatur Township. A motorist was traveling eastbound and after negotiating a left-hand turn in the roadway, their vehicle traveled off the south shoulder. At that point, their vehicle impacted a ditch and then a utility pole. The motorist didn’t remain at the scene and traveled further east on New Liberty Road before turning around and heading westbound beyond the accident scene. The suspect vehicle was last seen fleeing westbound on New Liberty Road. It’s described as a dark-colored, small sports utility vehicle or car. - On Monday someone threw a white paste substance off the Interstate 80 eastbound overpass near mile-marker 129 in Graham Township. The substance struck the passenger’s side windshield of a tractor-trailer being operated in the right-hand lane of I-80. The operator wasn’t injured; however, the windshield was completely smashed.
