Jacki Kendrick of Clearfield has announced her candidacy for the office of Clearfield County Prothonotary and Clerk of Courts.

Kendrick has been a life-long resident of Clearfield County and attended the Curwensville Area High School until 1979. In 1985, she earned her Associate’s degree in legal secretarial science from the DuBois Business College.

In 1992, she enrolled in the paralegal program at the Penn State University. She has since earned certificates for menu design recommendations for the District Justice Automated System Case Processing in the Courtroom, Case Flow Management/Clerk of Courts and Bail Processing, as part of her continued education within the office of the Prothonotary and Clerk of Courts.

In 2005, Kendrick aided in the implementation of the Common Pleas Case Management System that’s made it possible for all counties in Pennsylvania to access statewide criminal case histories, maximizing the efficiency of the office of the Clerk of Courts in Clearfield County.

Kendrick’s career in Clearfield County’s legal system began in 1985 when she obtained the position of secretary/receptionist with the law firm of Belin, Belin and Naddeo. In 1989, she became Clearfield County’s Law Librarian, Court Crier and Jury Coordinator. In 1992, she advanced to Clearfield County’s Legal Administrative Assistant and Judiciary Coordinator, where she remained until 1999 at which time she became Clearfield County’s Deputy Prothonotary and Clerk of Courts.

Kendrick has served the Clearfield County Court System for 23 years while spending the past 14 years within the office of the Prothonotary and Clerk of Courts. She has acquired a wealth of knowledge of the courts and its various offices during her career and will utilize her direct experience to further the position and its services to all of the residents of Clearfield County.

Kendrick would consider it an honor and privilege to continue serving Clearfield County as the Prothonotary and Clerk of Courts. She will be listed on the Democratic ballot for the May 21 Primary Election. She would like to thank residents in advance for their consideration during the election process.
