- A false alarm occurred Friday at Domtar.
- A woman reported that she may have lost her purse Friday at Wal-Mart.
- A 65-year-old Lincoln Drive man lost control of his vehicle when a deer ran out in front of him Friday on Thunderbird Road. His vehicle exited the roadway and struck a tree.
- A Maloney Road woman reported that when she arrived home Friday, she found a wall mounted television set that was in her bedroom had been moved. Officers searched the home; nothing was found out of the ordinary.
- On Saturday, a 26-year-old Reynoldsville woman reported that she lost $500 – $700 in cash at Wal-Mart. Officers reviewed security video but did not see the woman lose the money.
- A false alarm occurred Saturday at JC Penney.
- A 22-year-old Hanes Drive woman reported that she and her 32-year-old boyfriend engaged in an argument. He allegedly took her iPhone and threw it on the ground, causing damage to it. She then left the residence to seek police assistance. When she and the police arrived at the residence, her boyfriend had left with the children and the woman was locked out of the residence. She called a relative to pick her up and police cleared the scene.
- On Saturday, a vehicle driven by a 45-year-old Clearfield woman turned from Commons Drive onto Midway Drive, while a vehicle driven by a 50-year-old Johnsonburg woman was turning behind her. The Clearfield woman came to a stop and began to back up, striking the Johnsonburg woman’s vehicle. Minor damage was reported.
- On Saturday, Dollar General Store employees reported they’d observed two unknown women conceal items in a bag and leave the store without paying for them. They obtained a license plate number, and officers located the vehicle at an Albert Court residence. The women denied the theft. The incident remains under investigation at this time.
- An 18-year-old Penfield man lost control of his vehicle Saturday on state Route 255 near the Sabula Fire Hall. His vehicle veered off the roadway, struck a guiderail and then traveled across the roadway, where it came to a rest in a ditch. The man said there was a vehicle ahead that had swerved to miss a deer. However, witnesses told police that there wasn’t a vehicle ahead, and he had been swerving prior to the accident. After failing field sobriety testing, the man was transported to the DuBois Regional Medical Center for a legal blood draw. At the hospital, the man became belligerent and uncooperative with police. He was then transported to the Clearfield County Jail on a 24-hour detainer.
- A false alarm occurred Saturday at Aldi’s.
- A 59-year-old Sykesville woman reported that while she was in her car Saturday in the Wal-Mart parking lot, an unknown female came up to her vehicle and asked to use her phone. The female entered the woman’s car and appeared to make a call but said she didn’t get an answer. She then attempted to take the woman’s purse. The woman struggled with her and she fled the scene without the purse. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
