CLEARFIELD – On Thursday Clearfield Borough Council moved forward on purchasing park equipment.
It was voted on last week by the Planning and Community Development Committee to recommend to full council the purchase of playground equipment. The equipment will include a playground set with instillation, swings and seating, engineered wood fiber for Kurtz Park and three benches for Upper Witmer Park.
The price of the equipment from Bitting Recreation is $32,559.34 and will be purchased with Community Development Block Grant Funding. Clearfield Borough Operations Manager Leslie Stott clarified that the benches will not be covered by CDBG funding.
