CLEARFIELD – Clearfield Borough Council is looking for people interested in shaping the future of a predominant aspect of the downtown.
Letters of interest are being accepted through March 8 from those who want to serve on the borough’s Master Site Plan Committee. A total of nine to 13 people are needed to serve, and those people do not need to be Clearfield Borough residents.
The committee will develop a master site plan for the development of riverfront access including a walking trail, access roads, landscaping, parking areas, furniture and recreation facilities. The work will include not just Upper and Lower Witmer Parks, but it will also include Kurtz and Rebecca parks.
The plan is being developed through an $18,500 grant from the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources. Matching funds come through $16,000 in in-kind services from Hughes Engineering of Clearfield and $2,500 from Clearfield County.
Letters should be sent to 14 S. Front St., Clearfield, PA 16830, by March 8.
