PUNXSUTAWNEY – Very early Wednesday morning, power was interrupted to approximately 200 Penelec customers in the west end area of Punxsutawney.
Penelec crews were called out and discovered a wire connection at the Elk Run substation on Beyer Avenue had burnt off. In order to make the necessary repairs, workers needed to interrupt electric service to an additional 400 customers on the circuit at 3:18 a.m. Repairs were completed, and power was restored to all customers at 4:15 a.m.
