CLEARFIELD – A Clearfield woman is in Clearfield County Jail while she awaits her preliminary hearing on charges that she entered a Clearfield Borough home on two occasions.
Amy Sue Peterman, 34, was taken to the Clearfield Borough Police Department on Tuesday to be questioned as to whether she went into an Ogden Avenue home on Dec. 29.
Police showed her surveillance camera images of what they said was Peterman inside the home. The images were taken from cameras installed after the family’s home was burglarized on Dec. 6.
Court documents show that the camera images were of a woman with dark hair and wearing a hooded sweatshirt with the hood up entering the home’s front door. The footage also shows a woman in the master bedroom, but her hood is not up.
Peterman reportedly wrote a confession for police Tuesday, including an admission that she entered the home and took prescription pain relievers two separate times.
She is charged with two counts each of burglary, theft by unlawful taking and criminal trespass among other charges.
