CLEARFIELD – The Clearfield Borough Council has received a reply from their notice of default against Bob Yoder in regards to the riverwalk project. Having seen no progress made, and with the purchase of the old Uni-Mart a new set back in the plans as are, Clearfield Borough notified Yoder that they were going to declare him in default if the project is not cured.
According to Borough Solicitor F. Cortez Bell III, Yoder’s attorney wrote back to the borough stating there will be legal action as they had already broken the contract with Yoder in terminating him. The borough did not expect Yoder to be able to cure the project in time to avoid the default, but nobody present at the Thursday meeting was under the impression they had directly terminated Yoder.
Bell will be sending a response back on behalf of the borough.
