CLARION — It was an early start, and an early ride home, for the Curwensville Lady Tide on Tuesday night. Having come off of a home loss the night earlier, the squad loaded up the bus for a trip to Clarion to face off with the Lady Wildcats.
The trip started with an early tip-off in the evening, and it ended with an early ride home to beat traffic. Curwensville’s woes continued as they were routed by Clarion, 61-8.
Curwensville would have a case of repeated verses as just like the night prior, one of the opening quarters would produce no points, while the Wildcats seemed to put up buckets on each possession. After one half of play, Curwensville found itself down 37-2, and a running clock for the duration of the second half with the exception of timeouts and foul shots.
Marley Kline led all scoring as she put up 16 points for Clarion, with Taylor Alston adding in another 12. All but one player for Clarion would score on the night. For Curwensville, Natalie Wischuck had five points.
Sitting at 0-14, the Lady Tide will be back home on Thursday night when they play host to Glendale. The two squads faced off back on December 22, with the Lady Vikings scoring the 65-15 win on their home court. Tip-off will be at 6:30 p.m.
