CLEARFIELD — The Clearfield Bison Boys Track and Field team played rude host as they won Tuesday afternoon’s Mountain League track meet on their home turf at the Bison Sports Complex.
They outdistanced runner-up Bald Eagle Area by a final score of 93-76.
The Clearfield girls placed fourth in the eight team field with 52 points. The Penns Valley Lady Rams edged Tyrone 96-93 for the title.
Jason Plubell, Ian Billotte, Karson Kline, and Logan Firanski were all double gold medalists, as that foursome won the 4×400 Relay in a time of 3:40.54 and each also won an individual event.
Plubel also won the 300 hurdles in 42.28, Billotte won the triple jump with a leap of 41-08, Kline made it a Clearfield sweep of the hurdles with his 15.60 win in the 110s, and Firanski won the 400 meter dash in 52.75.
The other Bison winner was field man Zane Inguagiato who won the discus with a toss of 122-04.
Lydia Brown and Amanda Hazel made it domination of the hurdles for the hosts by winning those events on the girls side.
Brown ran a 16.60 to win the 100 meters and Hazel ran a 49.07 to win the 300s.
Next up for the Bison will be next week’s District 9 Championships at Brookville High School.
