Raymond E. Spene, Age 79 of Waterfall Lane, Brookville, PA, died Aug. 11, 2010 at his residence.
Born on Oct. 9, 1930 in Greensburg, Pa, he was the son of the late Samuel and Mabel Spene.
On Aug. 26, 1989, he married Peggy (McKee) Kiel Spene. She survives.
He was a veteran of the United States Navy.
He worked for 30 years as the manager of Johnson Motors Body Shop. He was affiliated with the Friendly Tavern Irish Pub & Restaurant.
He was a past member of the American Legion Post 17 in DuBois. He loved going to camp and going for walks in the woods with his dogs. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by a daughter (Victoria Humphrey of Reynoldsville, Pa) 2 step sons (William Kiel of Tionesta and Robert Kiel of Reynoldsville, PA) 2 grandchildren (Gabriel Humphrey and Nicole Bearfield) and 2 great-grandchildren (Nathan Bembenic and Lilly Bearfield)
He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister (Louise Stevens) and a brother (Francis Spene)
There will be no public visitation and a memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
The Goble-Baronick Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
