Emma G. Sitosky, 91, of Houtzdale died Thursday, Oct. 20, 2016 in her home. She was born Jan. 21, 1925 in LaJose to the late Joseph and Irene (Snyder) Wiley.
She was a member of Christ the King Parish in Houtzdale, where she was a past member of the Catholic Daughters of America.
She worked until 2003 at Weis Market in the deli section.
She married Walter T. Sitosky on Feb. 5, 1949 in Johnstown. Â He preceded her in death in 2013.
She is survived by seven children, Susan (George) Swisher of Morrisdale, Virginia (Dale) Bashore of Omaha, Neb., Walter (Gloria) Sitosky, Emma L. Sitosky, James C. Sitosky and Brian E. Sitosky, all of Houtzdale, and Matthew (Andrea) Sitosky of Clearfield.
She is also survived by seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by five siblings, Loretta Crookshank, Dorothy Shafer, Freeman Wiley, Gilbert Wiley and Mary Hannah Hendrickson.
Friends will be received from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. Monday and from 9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Kruise-Spewock Funeral & Cremation Services Inc., Ramey.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Christ the King Catholic Church, Houtzdale, with the Rev. Marc J. Solomon as celebrant.
