Suzann C. Jacobson, 60, of Glen Richey died Thursday, Oct. 20, 2016 at her home.

Mrs. Jacobson was born Aug. 13, 1956 in Clearfield, the daughter of Melvin D. and Rowena P. (Wisor) Knepp.

She was employed with Clearfield County Government in the Court Administration Office. Mrs. Jacobson was a member of the Glen Richey Primitive Methodist Church.

When her children played baseball, she enjoyed running the concession stand and served as president of the Ladies Auxiliary for the Clearfield Little League. She loved to watch her kids play ball and had also been involved with Girl Scouts.

She is survived by her father of Hyde and her husband, George L. “Sam” Jacobson, to whom she was married Sept. 27, 1975.

She is also survived by two children, Heather Rees and her husband, Jarrod of Clearfield and Tyler Jacobson of Glen Richey; four grandchildren, Tayah, Aria and Rya Rees and Katherine “Katie” Way; a brother, Melvin Knepp and his wife, Jody of Bigler; a sister-in-law, Lois Mitchell and her husband, Richard of Glen Richey; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

Mrs. Jacobson was preceded in death by her mother and two sons, Aaron L. and Ryan M. Jacobson.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, at the Bennett & Houser Funeral Home Inc. of Clearfield with Commissioned Lay Pastor Leanne M. Peters officiating. Burial will be in Thompson Cemetery.

Friends will be received from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. and from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. Sunday and from 12 p.m. – 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Aaron and Ryan Jacobson Memorial Scholarship Fund, c/o County National Bank, or the charity of the donor’s choice.
