Charlie Sheen hasn’t endorsed anyone for president yet, but there’s one candidate in particular that he doesn’t want to see in the Oval Office: Donald Trump.
“hey Trump, ‘A farce or comedy is best played; a tragedy is best read at home’ Abe Lincoln America please WAKE UP! © #AnyoneButTrump,” the actor tweeted Saturday morning.
This isn’t the first time that Sheen, who previously played the president of the United States in the 2013 film “Machete Kills,” has lashed into the GOP front-runner. In July, he called Trump “a shame pile of idiocy.”
“Trump you’re a sad & silly homunculus your words as poignant as a sack of cat farts You’re a shame pile of idiocy © http://moby.to/vwf7ap,” Sheen tweeted, though he later deleted the tweet.
Some, however, see similarities between the two outspoken personalities. In August, actor Owen Wilson told The Daily Beast that Trump’s unconventional campaign reminded him of when Sheen “was doing that stuff,” an apparent reference to his public meltdown in 2011.
In response to Wilson’s comparison, Sheen recommended Trump pick him as his running mate.
“If Trump will hv me I’d be his VP in a heartbeat!,” Sheen tweeted.
