BOGGS TOWNSHIP – State police at Clearfield have initiated an investigation into an alleged robbery incident that occurred Tuesday on Route 322 in Boggs Township.
According to state police, the victim was operating his tow truck on Route 322 westbound. He allegedly observed a white van behind him, which had flashing headlights.
Upon pulling over, the victim was allegedly approached by the van’s passenger, a male armed with a semi-automatic pistol. The victim said the male allegedly pointed the pistol at him and demanded cash.
The victim said when he told him [the male] that his only cash was in the truck he allegedly entered and removed it. The victim said the male then fled the scene on Route 322 west toward Interstate 80.
State police described the suspect as a Caucasian male who stands 6 feet tall and who weighs 230-250 pounds. He’s approximately 35 to 40 years of age.
Also, he has short red/brown hair, a mustache and Goethe. It is pointed and as long as his chest. He was wearing a white shirt, blue jeans and black shoes, according to state police.
The suspect’s vehicle was described by state police as a white Chevrolet utility van with an unknown Ohio registration, state police said.
