Rick R. Cowfer Jr., 42, of Clearfield died Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2015 at his home.
He was born Nov. 16, 1972 in Philipsburg, the son of Rickey Ray Sr. and Deborah Jean (Saggese) Cowfer.
Mr. Cowfer was employed by Wal-Mart of Clearfield, where he worked in the meat department for 20 years.
He was a born again Christian. He was a member of Clearfield Fundamental Bible Church.
He was a graduate of West Branch Area High School in the class of 1993. He was an avid Penn State and Atlanta Braves fan.
Mr. Cowfer is survived by his wife, Wendy L. (Rittenhouse) Cowfer, to whom he was married April 24, 1999 at Riverview Bible Church.
He is survived by his parents, Rickey Ray Sr. and Deborah Jean Cowfer of Curwensville; his maternal grandmother, Florence “Jane” Leforte of Shiloh; a sister, Tracy Cowfer of Curwensville; a brother; Russell Cowfer of Curwensville; two nieces, Alivia and Rebecca Cowfer; and a nephew, Dominick Cowfer. He is also survived by his beloved Shih Tzu, Lexie.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Frank Saggese, and his paternal grandparents, Russell and Helen Cowfer.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, at the Bennett & Houser Funeral Home Inc. with Pastor Michael Polzella officiating. Burial will be in Crown Crest Memorial Park.
Friends will be received from 11 a.m. Tuesday until the hour of service at the funeral home.
