
June H. Minarchick, 91, of Philipsburg died Saturday, Sept. 19, 2015 at Windy Hill Village, Philipsburg.
Born May 27, 1924 in Morrisdale, she was a daughter of the Late Clyde P. and Cora A. (Glotfelty) Carr.
Mrs. Minarchick was a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Philipsburg, where she had also been a member of the funeral choir.
She had been employed with the General Cigar Company Inc. of Philipsburg until her retirement.
On Sept. 28, 1946 in Hawk Run, she married John A. Minarchick, who preceded her in death on Sept. 26, 1994.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Pearl Desso, Helen Metz and an infant sister, Videll Carr and eight brothers, Boyd, Blaine, Marlyn, Chester, Joseph, Robert, Luther and infant Frederick Carr. She was the last of her generation.
Surviving are two daughters, Carolyn M. Trimpey of Philipsburg and Sharon A. Dance and her husband, Donald of Port Matilda; a son, James A. Minarchick and his wife, Tammy of Philipsburg; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Philipsburg, with the Rev. John Gibbons as celebrant. Burial will follow at Sts. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Philipsburg.
Friends will be received from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Beezer-Heath Funeral Home, Philipsburg. The rosary will be recited at 4:30 p.m. and a vigil service conducted at 5:30 p.m., both on Tuesday at the funeral home.
