Terry A. (Daffy) Williams Sr., 70, of Philipsburg and formerly of Houtzdale, died Sunday, Aug. 23, 2015 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born Nov. 21, 1944 in Williamsport, he was the son of Morgan T. and Hilda (Eisenhower) Williams.
He was protestant by faith. He was employed as a heavy equipment operator for Bumbarger Coal Co. until his retirement.
On April 30, 1967 in Renova, he married Elizabeth (Stevenson) Williams, who preceded him in death on Aug. 26, 2011
He is survived by three daughters, Brenda Williams of Clearfield, Peggy A. Williams Nelson of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Sandra Williams of Philipsburg and three sons, Terry A. Williams and his wife, Charlene of Midlothian, Texas, Floyd Williams of Syracuse, NY and Joseph Williams of Madera.
Also surviving are five grandchildren, Michael and Zachary Odrosky, Courtney Ann Hirsch and Kasey Michael Leigey, all of Clearfield, Brittany Nelson of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Jacey and Skyler Williams of Madera.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his and wife; a son, Steven J. Williams, who died June 17, 2004; two brothers, Richard Williams and Morgan Williams Jr.; and a sister, Holly Williams.
Family and friends will be received from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. Thursday at the Birger A. Freeberg Funeral Home, Houtzdale.
A service will be held at 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with Pastor James Walk and Pastor John Dill officiating.
