CLEARFIELD – The Clearfield County Area Agency on Aging, Inc., its Centers for Active Living and co-sponsor, Colonial Courtyard of Clearfield, are preparing for their annual summer celebration.
The event will take place on Aug. 19 from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. at Florian Hall, 321 Mill Rd. in Clearfield. Individuals 50 years of age and older should especially enjoy this event.
This year’s theme will be “South of The Border.” Music will be provided by The Vagabonds. There will also be games, plenty of door prizes, lots of fun and a South of the Border menu.
The “South of the Border” meal will be catered by Apple Banquets & Catering and feature baked chicken seasoned with Tex/Mex seasoning and topped with chipotle cream sauce, roasted mini red potatoes, roasted vegetables with parmesan cheese, buttered rolls, coffee, punch and finished with Mexican tres leche cake with butter cream icing and strawberry sauce.
You’re invited to grab your sombrero, your best bright summer shirt and skirt, and plan on a day of summertime fun and pleasure. Several prizes will be awarded for the best costumes. There is an admission donation of $6 per person. Admission tickets may be obtained in the following ways: picking them up at the Clearfield, Coalport, Karthaus, Kylertown and Mahaffey Centers for Active Living, at Colonial Courtyard of Clearfield business office at 1937 Daisy Street Ext., Clearfield, or at the CCAAA Office at 103 N. Front St. in Clearfield.
Tickets must be purchased before 12 p.m. Aug. 9. Tickets will not be sold at the door. This year, we will provide reserved seating for groups of 10 or more who purchase their tickets as a group. If you have questions, please call the CCAAA at 814-765-2696 or 1-800-225-8571.
