On Saturday, state police stopped the operator of a vehicle in the 700 block of Elizabeth Street in Houtzdale Borough for traffic violations. As a result, state police found the passenger, a 23-year-old Madera man, was in possession of illegal drugs and paraphernalia, and he was arrested at the scene. Charges were filed through the district court.
An incident of aggravated assault occurred Oct. 18 on Sanborn Road in Houtzdale. During the incident, two juveniles went onto the property of a 16-year-old Houtzdale juvenile to sell candy for school. When the juveniles went to leave, the older juvenile engaged in a verbal confrontation with them and then threatened them with a compound bow with an arrow. Charges of aggravated assault, terroristic threats, recklessly endangering another person and harassment were filed through Clearfield County Juvenile Probation.
An incident of burglary occurred sometime between Oct. 10 and Monday on Dubec Road in Pine Township. Further, the victim told state police that someone broke into their cabin and then cut copper piping before fleeing the scene.
