PHILIPSBURG – Front and Centre Productions IGNITE Youth Theatre will present its upcoming production of Mean Girls: High School Edition.
IGNITE Youth Theatre will present its upcoming performance of Mean Girls: High School Edition at the Philipsburg-Osceola Middle School on July 26 and 27, at 7 p.m., and July 28 at 2 p.m.
Adapted from the hit 2004 film, Mean Girls tells the story of Cady Heron, who starts high school at 16, after being homeschooled in Africa for the first 15 years of her life.
Cady quickly crosses paths with “The Plastics,” a group of popular girls who rule the school through intimidation, back-stabbing and bullying.
Originally joining their clique as a joke, Cady finds herself sucked into their world and discovers the dark side of high school friendships.
Front and Centre Productions’ IGNITE Youth Theatre is a program designed to provide young actors and actresses the opportunity to share their talents on stage with others from different school districts in the Moshannon Valley area.
With 45 incredibly talented performers, the cast of Mean Girls is ready to take on high school in order to show all of us just how tricky it can be to navigate.
Tickets for this production are $10 and can be purchased at the door or at https://www.onthestage.tickets/show/front-and-centre-productions-inc for presale.
