Aaron Rowles, Clearfield Little League President, stated, “Clearfield Little League past president Todd Schickling really took the lead last year with the expansion of the
Bradford Township fields, which has significantly added practice areas and practice times spent on an actual baseball field. In addition, many kids in our league are playing on travel teams outside of their league team. The more kids want to play, the better at the game they become, mentally and physically. Coach Ryan Briskar of the 12U Kurtz Bros., as well as Coach Derek Danver of the 10U Eagles did an awesome job preparing their teams for this year’s competition. As the President of the Clearfield Little League, I want to thank Travis McDowell. Travis was the one who really got the ball rolling with Muddy River and truly turned it into an awesome league in Central PA. This year we [Clearfield] brought home the eternal trophy in both 12U and 10U. I couldn’t be more proud of both teams. They have set the bar high for next season. I’m proud to say that the first Muddy River League titles came to Clearfield.”
