CLEARFIELD – Clearfield Regional police have charged a local woman for allegedly driving drunk and resisting arrest.
According to a department-issued news release, officers were dispatched April 1 for a “visibly intoxicated” female who had just left a Clearfield bar.
Her vehicle was located traveling on state Route 879. It was reportedly observed drifting into the center median and then reentering its lane of travel.
Police initiated a traffic stop, during which the female—identified as 53-year-old Catrina Kubala of Morrisdale—was determined to be under the influence of an intoxicating beverage.
When she was being placed into custody, Kubala reportedly resisted and attempted to pull away from officers multiple times.
She was put in a patrol vehicle where police say she was disorderly, kicking the unit’s “cage.”
Kubala was housed in county jail on charges of DUI, resisting arrest and related offenses.
