HERSHEY – Clearfield County’s 2023 Fair Queen Eva Bloom will soon compete in the 38th annual Pennsylvania State Fair Queen Contest.
It will take place Jan. 18 through Jan. 20 at the Hershey Lodge and Convention Center in Hershey, Pa., in conjunction with the Pennsylvania State Association of County Fairs Convention.
Bloom will compete against 58 other young women from fairs across the state.
The contest consists of a written essay, speech on the topic, “Why You Should Come to My Fair,” an interview with a panel of judges and a personal introduction and evening gown presentation.
The purpose of the state’s Fair Queen program is to provide educational opportunities for young women and to promote its top industries: agriculture and tourism.
In attendance will be the Clearfield County Fair and Park Board and the Clearfield County Fair Queen Committee.
