Have you ever been discriminated against for having a physical disability?
Have you wanted to talk to someone who has an idea about what you’re going through but couldn’t find the right resources?
Fresh Beginning Behavioral Health Services is providing a support group focused on bringing people together with physical disabilities.
“Hi, my name is Cierra Kephart. I have recently been employed with Fresh Beginning. I have a neuromuscular disability called Charcot-Marie-Tooth.
“I absolutely love that Fresh Beginning is giving me the chance to achieve my goal and advocate for not only myself, but [also] for others with physical disabilities.
“Throughout my journey, I have had experiences of being discriminated against and I feel this support group will bring awareness to people who have been in similar situations.
“What many take for granted as everyday tasks, we value as challenges or barriers that can be overcome.”
The group will meet Thursday, Sept. 14, from 6:30 p.m. – 8 p.m. at 8904 Clearfield Curwensville Hwy., Clearfield, (Old Target Square). Doors will open at 6 p.m.
