DUBOIS – A DuBois woman is facing felony drug charges for allegedly selling methamphetamine to a confidential informant and an undercover officer.
State police say Ashley Nicole McGarvey, 36, was in contact with an informant on April 5 when they arranged for the CI to purchase two eight balls of methamphetamine.
They met at a convenience store in DuBois where McGarvey entered a vehicle with an undercover officer and the informant.
McGarvey provided two bags of methamphetamine to the officer in exchange for $300, according to the affidavit of probable cause.
The criminal complaint in the second case details how the undercover officer contacted McGarvey and she agreed to sell the officer 14 grams of methamphetamine on April 21.
This time they met in the parking lot of a supermarket. McGarvey entered the trooper’s vehicle where she reportedly provided a plastic bag of crystal methamphetamine in exchange for $600.
McGarvey is charged in each case with felony counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and criminal use of communication facility as well as misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance.
During centralized court on Friday, she waived her right to a preliminary hearing in both cases, sending the cases on to the Clearfield County Court of Common Pleas for further disposition.
Her bail was lowered in from $50,000 to $50,000, unsecured in each case and she was released from custody, according to online court documents.
