Michael Griffin, a two-time World Magic Award winning escape artist, who is appearing and disappearing at the Clearfield County Fair asks residents to check their drawer for old handcuffs and leg irons for a cash reward.

CLEARFIELD – This week, Michael Griffin is appearing and disappearing for the first time ever at the Clearfield County Fair’s David H. Litz Grove Stage.

And … the two-time World Magic Award winning escape artist is urging fairgoers to check their drawers.

No, he doesn’t mean pants, and yes, there’s a shot at some cash for any old handcuffs that you have lying around collecting dust.

Griffin is offering up to $1,000 for old handcuffs and leg irons from your attic or basement.

It’s part of his cash for cuffs approach to creating one of the largest collections of handcuffs in the world.

According to the only two-time winner of TV’s World Magic Awards for Best Escape, “collecting jail jewelry is a long-standing hobby of mine.

“I have met some amazing people—all around the world—with old restraints that they either give to me or sell for cash.

“You never know what to expect, or what will come out of the woodwork, but I’m definitely looking and offering cash for cuffs.”

Fairgoers can get in touch with Griffin through his official Web site: www.michaelgriffinescapes.com. “I will gladly make good cash offers.”

About Michael Griffin

Performing astonishing escapes and setting records around the world for over two decades, two-time World Magic Award Winning Master of Escape, Michael Griffin is considered the “Greatest Living Escape Artist.”

He is the only escape artist to ever survive a hanging on the back of a horse with a 13-knot Hangman’s Noose in 52 seconds.

What’s the secret? It’s Griffin’s strong mind, conviction, heart and belief. “I do not use drugs or alcohol. I never have and I never will.

“I simply do not believe in their illusion, nor the illusion of negative thinking, which is the toughest straitjacket we will ever face; but, if you put your mind to it, and you believe in yourself, you will always escape.”

Information about Griffin can be found at www.escapeguy.com.
