The Anderson Creek Sportsmen’s Club held its monthly deer target match Sunday. Competitors experienced every weather condition, except snow.
The top gun in the Custom Class was Jeff Gates of Altoona. Second place was Frank Carrier of Summerville.
Third place was a tie between Mike Huth of Punxsutawney and Alvin Lee of Duncansville.
Deer Challenge winner was Ed Rethi of Dixsonville and the Factory Varmint winner was David Shaw of Curwensville.
Gates also won the side group match with a five-shot group, at 400 yards, that measured 1.692″.
