CLEARFIELD – A Coalport man was sent to state prison Wednesday for selling heroin and possessing Fentanyl patches when he was taken to the jail.
Mark Allen Landeck, 45, pleaded guilty to felony possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance-heroin as well as felony possession of a controlled substance/contraband by inmate.
President Judge Fredric J. Ammerman sentenced him to a total of 24 months to four years in state prison during a special session of sentencing court.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, Landeck was the subject of an undercover investigation because he was identified as a “heroin/Fentanyl distributor in the Coalport, PA area.”
A confidential informant indicated to authorities that he/she had purchased heroin/Fentanyl from Landeck in the past two months and identified these transactions as happening at Landeck’s residence.
On Nov. 3, the informant was given $100 in official police funds to purchase drugs from Landeck. The informant was followed to the location and stationary surveillance was setup at the home.
The informant left Landeck’s residence and was followed to a predetermined spot where he/she provided seven bags of heroin to police that he/she had purchased from Landeck.
The criminal complaint in the second case details how when Landeck was taken to the Clearfield County Jail on Jan. 12, he was found to be carrying Fentanyl patches.
