DUBOIS — The Clearfield Bison and Curwensville Golden Tide Wrestling Teams will both be in action on Saturday at DuBois Area High School for the District 9 Team Wrestling Championship.
The wrestling gets started at 11:00 am with the AA semifinals. Top seeded Brockway (11-1) will face the four seed Port Allegany (10-7) on one mat while the second seed Brookville (12-2) will meet the three seed Curwensville (14-4).
The Raiders defeated the Tide back on January 20 by a score of 48-21. Brookville has won the last eight team wrestling titles.
The District 4/9 AAA semifinals will be up next at approximately 12:15 with top seeded Williamsport (9-1) wrestling Shikellamy (15-4) and the two seeded Bison (12-0) matching up with Selinsgrove (14-2).
Clearfield has been the runner-up to Williamsport the last two years, and last won the AAA title back in 2016. Both Williamsport and Clearfield are ranked in the top-10 in the state by several news outlets.
The AA finals are set for 1:30 and the AAA is set for 2:45.
The winners in each will move on to the Giant Center in Hershey on Thursday February 10 for for the PIAA State Team Wrestling Championships.
