An adjustment by Fayette worked in the third quarter for a while as they outscored DuBois, 21-12. Schreck worked her rebounding skills yet again though in the fourth quarter, pulling down 9 more to help her teams efforts. With DuBois down 5 points with just 1:27 remaining on the clock free throws became key. Lexey Schick (Rimersburg, PA) hit 2 from the charity stripe, and Skylar Ceprish (Allport, PA) hit 2 more after Fayette sunk 1 of their own.
After a huge steal by Cierra O-Shell (Glendale, PA), Ceprish would get fouled again to go to the line with the score 68-66 in favor of Fayette. Ceprish would hit the first to bring DuBois within one, but a miss on the second one would prove to be a good turn of events as Schreck would grab the offensive rebound for a put back to give DuBois the 1- point lead with 4 seconds on the clock.
Fayette would attempt a last second shot, but to no avail. DuBois would win the game, 69-68.
Schick ended the game with 22 points and 5 rebounds. Schreck put up 19 points, and grabbed 23 rebounds to give her double – double number 19 on the season.
DuBois will travel to PSU Greater Allegheny on Friday evening for a 6:00 pm tip.
