BRADFORD TOWNSHIP – A Clearfield woman was killed in a three-vehicle crash Thursday afternoon on U.S. Route 322 in Bradford Township.

According to Clearfield-based state police, at approximately 2:37 p.m., a Chevrolet Blazer driven by Nancy E. Godissart, 65, was stopped in the eastbound lane, as she waited to turn left onto Pebble Lane.

At the same time, Barry E. Quinn, 54, of Woodland was reportedly unable to bring the commercial truck he was driving to a stop, and struck the rear of the Godissart vehicle.

Upon impact, state police say that the Godissart vehicle was forced into the westbound lane, where it subsequently struck a Dodge Charger.

Godissart was transported from the scene by ambulance, then airlifted to UPMC Altoona. She was pronounced dead at the hospital due to injuries she suffered in the crash.

State police say a male passenger in the Godissart vehicle was transported to Clearfield Penn Highlands Hospital for treatment of suspected minor injuries.

Neither Quinn nor the driver of the Dodge Charger was injured, according to state police. The crash investigation is ongoing at this time.

State police were assisted by the Bigler-Jackson-Woodland and Clearfield fire departments, Clearfield Emergency Medical Services, towing services and PennDOT.
