GRAMPIAN – The Bilger’s Rocks Association has announced the guest speakers for its Rockin’ Recovery Day on Sept. 21.

Speakers will include:

  • Jodi Skiles, director of the Bureau of Treatment, Prevention & Intervention;
  • Kim Coleman, chief of staff; and
  • Spencer Folmar, producer/director of the film “Shooting Heroin.”

Sam Ettaro will entertain with live music and also be the event’s master of ceremonies. Attendees will be given a chance to speak in the afternoon.

Service organizations will be on-hand to provide information about their services, according to organizers, who promise a day filled with “hope, encouragement and fun.”

Also, on Sept. 28, the association will host an open house at its new Education and Visitor Center, from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. The public is welcome to attend.

During the event, association members will provide information about the 12 Environmental Education curricula that are available, as well as about the new Student Environmental Stewardship Program.
