WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – A hearing has been set for next week for a Falls Creek woman facing felony burglary and related charges after allegedly stealing a wallet from an overdose scene in Brockway.
Court documents indicate 54-year-old Patricia Soltesz is scheduled to stand for a preliminary hearing in front of Magisterial District Judge David B. Inzana at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 25, on the following charges:
– Burglary – Overnight Accommodation, No Person Present, Felony 1
– Criminal Trespass-Enter Structure, Felony 3
– Use/Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia, Misdemeanor
– Theft By Unlaw Taking-Movable Property, Misdemeanor 3
The charges stem from an incident that occurred in Brockway on Sunday, Aug. 4.
According to a criminal complaint, around 1:47 p.m. on Aug. 4, Trooper Marshall-Hoare was assigned to respond to an apartment on state Route 219 in Brockway for a report of an overdose.
The overdose victim was transported by ambulance to an area hospital.
Police learned that a known female allegedly sold the victim heroin and also learned where more heroin was located in the apartment.
Around 3:25 p.m., Trooper Marshall-Hoare returned to the scene to secure the apartment and found the back door open. She approached the back door and saw Patricia Ann Soltesz inside exiting through the door.
Trooper Marshall-Hoare then identified herself and ordered Soltesz to raise her hands.
According to the complaint, when asked what she was doing at the apartment, Soltesz said the known woman had asked her to go there.
The complaint notes that when Soltesz was patted down, a wallet belonging to the known woman, which contained heroin stamp bags, was found in her right front pocket. Soltesz allegedly stated, “It’s not mine.”
According to the complaint, the known woman was questioned and stated Soltesz did not have permission to be in her residence or to remove anything from it.
Soltesz was arraigned in front of Magisterial District Judge Gregory M Bazylak at 9:25 p.m. on Aug. 4.
Unable to post $50,000 monetary bail (10 percent), she remains lodged in the Jefferson County Jail.
