CLEARFIELD – An Olanta man has been accused of threatening to blow up Clearfield County’s Children & Youth Services office.
James Casey Lockett, 35, has been charged by Trooper Nicholas Wissinger of the Clearfield-based state police with a felony count of terroristic threats and misdemeanor counts of simple assault and harassment.
Lockett waived his right to a preliminary hearing Wednesday during centralized court at the Clearfield County Jail. His bail was also modified from $50,000 monetary to unsecured.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, Lockett was at a Houtzdale Borough residence on June 5 and had a confrontation with a CYS worker. He came out of the home “very angry.”
The caseworker told troopers that he made a phone call while on the porch and allegedly commented: “Don’t worry, the neighbors are going to get theirs.”
She said when he came back out again later, he asked her for her name and the address of her office. Then, Lockett paused briefly and allegedly stated: “We have to go in there and blow the place up. Call everyone.”
