COALPORT – State police at Clearfield are investigating a shots-fired incident that occurred Wednesday night in Coalport Borough.
Troopers were called to the scene in the 500 block of Main Street at approximately 9:18 p.m., according to a news release issued by Trooper Andres Made.
Made said a group of males approached the residence and they were confronted by the five victims. This, he said, caused a verbal dispute to break out.
At some point, a male suspect allegedly pulled out a weapon, pointing it at the victims and firing one round of shots into the air. Then, he fled.
Made said as the suspect ran off, he fired several more rounds into the air. He said no injuries have been reported to state police investigators.
State police are continuing their investigation, and anyone with information is asked to contact the Clearfield barracks at 814-857-3800.
