MILESBURG — Both teams had seven hits, but Bald Eagle Area pitcher Madison Peters was able to keep Clearfield away from home plate for a 9-0 Mountain League victory in schoolgirl softball action Thursday.
Peters struck out nine and did not allow a walk in her second win of the season over the Lady Bison.
Lauren Ressler doubled and singled and losing pitcher Emma Hipps singled twice for Clearfield, which fell to 3-4 in the league and 5-4 overall.
Hipps went the distance, striking out seven and walking three.
Only four of the Lady Eagles’ runs were earned.
McKenna Baney led BEA (8-1, 6-1 ML) with two hits, one a double, and two RBIs.
The Lady Bison will travel to Flinton Monday for a non-league game against Glendale and return to league action Tuesday at Huntingdon.
