PHILIPSBURG – There will be a free Sensory Friendly Christmas event held at the Rowland Theatre in Philipsburg on Dec. 8.
It will get under way at 1 p.m. at the theater, which is located at 127 N. Front St.
According to organizers, this event will be ideal for parents with small children who are always moving; who have issues with loud noises or bright lights; or who are “afraid” of Santa.
There will also be opportunities for parents to have their child’s picture taken with Santa.
“You won’t have to worry about Santa bringing your child to tears,” organizers say. “Your child is welcome to stand beside him, in front of him or not approach him at all, if they don’t wish.”
Together, parents and children will be able to watch popular Christmas specials on the big movie screen and make ornaments in the lobby, all while enjoying cookies and popcorn, too.
Rudolph and little Rudy are expected to stop by for some holiday fun, and everyone is welcome to join them.
