DUBOIS – The Greater DuBois Chamber of Commerce has once again been approved for a “Shop Small” kit courtesy of American Express.
With the holidays approaching, Chamber staff members are seeking business hours from its membership. Their deadline for business hours, sale flyers and coupons is Nov. 12.
Staff members will place business information, along with the sale flyers and coupons, into “Shop Small” shopping bags to be distributed to “Community Shoppers.”
“We want to encourage people to ‘Shop Small’ Saturday, Nov. 24 and throughout the holiday season,” commented DuBois Chamber Executive Director Jodi K. August.
August added: “We invite you to participate with us to make more of an impact in our community this shopping season.” For more information or questions, please contact the Chamber Office.
American Express founded Small Business Saturday in 2010, giving small businesses and brick-and-mortar stores a boost between Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
Since its founding, it’s been a “powerful opportunity to reconnect with customers — and boost sales.” Last year, 112 million shoppers participated spending more than $15 billion.
