CURWENSVILLE – Families in the local community and surrounding area are invited to the outreach program, The Pumpkin Patch Party, on Oct. 28, from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m.
Curwensville United Methodist Church’s fellowship hall will be the site of this fall celebration.
Families are invited to come in costume and enjoy various fun activities, such as face painting, pumpkin decorating, fortune telling, etc. Free food will include hot dogs, snacks, apple juice, candy and other desserts.
This event builds on the success of the summer Carnival of Care, another community outreach program, event organizers say.
The church’s mission includes reaching the larger community, and offering outreach, education and hospitality, along with love and acceptance.
Other events planned for the Oct. 28, Anniversary Celebration include the 10:45 a.m. worship service, which will celebrate 125 years of blessings and community.
Following the service will be a dinner for church members; reservations are required. Tom Aaron of Curwensville will appear as the Rev. Leonard M. Gardner, in a historical portrayal of this Circuit Preacher from 1863-1865.
If you and your family have been searching for a place of worship or desire to learn of Christ through, praise and worship, please feel welcome to give the Curwensville United Methodist Church a try, organizers say.
